Why I started this blog

 

I'm Sick of All the BS & GREED in This Country

Well, that sort of sums up why I created this blog, but that's way to vague.  I have been thinking about trying to do something to help this country become a better place to live, especially for the poorer folks in this country, and that includes MOST of us.  But part of my problem is I think there are a LOT of things wrong with our country, so I wasn't sure quite how I could do my part to help fix all those things.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love this country and believe that the USA is the best country in the world to live in.  But I also know that there is many problems in this country that I feel are getting worse and worse.  And I believe that the basis for what's wrong in this country is GREED.  Big companies are extremely greedy and only seem to care about the profit they make.  The upper 1 % who are extremely greedy don't care about the little guy either, (well most anyway).  And a fair amount of small business owners are also extremely greedy.  Working hard to make a profit is good, doing so at the expense of others is not.  I'll talk about this much more in the future.

But just some of the subjects I want to cover in this blog are the following issues I see that are at the heart of the problems we have.

• The increasing division of wealth between the working class and the uber rich
• The greed of large corporations
• The outsourcing of jobs overseas
• The loss of control of our government
• The Excessive spending of our government
• The greed of our politicians
• The out of control IRS
• The messed up court system
• The overzealous police (not so much their fault as the rules they must follow)
• The drain on our welfare system and other programs by those who don't actually deserve it
•  The erosion of our basic constitutional rights
• Our dependence on Foreign Oil 
• Gun Control
• Health Care
• And MUCH more

I'll also be talking about some of the things I love about this country like the security we have against
terrorists, the way our government does do some good with things like our national highway system, Fema protection against severe acts of mother nature, (yes, I know they aren't perfect, but at least we have something, where many countries have nothing).  We have freedoms & equality that many can only dream of and much more.  And again, I know that nothing is perfect from the equality issue to freedoms, but we're much better off than many countries, so I'm VERY thankful, but I do see the American Dream slipping further and further out of the reach of most of us, and it's time that "We The People Take a Stand!".

As our Constitution states:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

This is our country, and it's time to fix a few problems we have and bring us back to the basis for our constitution and our independence.

I'll accept comments from everyone, IF you follow a few rules on my blog.  I won't tolerate breaking the rules so read these carefully.

1. NO Flaming, name calling, racist, hateful, bashing of others or really ugly posts.  If you don't like a politician, or another readers views, fine, but say it with respect and tact or I WON'T publish it.  Remember, if I find it offensive, I WON'T PUBLISH IT.
2. NO spamming my blog
3. Be respectful of others and state your views and beliefs with respect & tact.  I know, I sort of said that already, but it bears repeating as I know how hot people get over political stuff.
4. Stay on topic
5. Keep your posts reasonable in length.  A 1500 word post will either get shortened by me, or it won't be posted.
6. Leave Religion Out of ALL discussions.  We all have our own views and I won't tolerate fighting over religious views on my blog, especially since I think religion is the basis for Many wars, and fights in the first place.
